Born and raised in Texas, Laura Longwell is a graphic designer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Graduating from Texas Women’s University with a Graphic Design degree, not only do they have a passion for advertising and design, but they're also intrigued with the strategy behind what makes an ad or design successful.
Laura sits on the McKesson Pride ERG’s (LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group) National Board as the Central Region Lead, as well as was one of the founders of McKesson’s latest ERG, UNITY supporting the Native and Indigenous community that launched in August of 2021. They currently reside as UNITY’s National Chair. In both of these roles, they help manage membership activities that promote the education of LGBTQ+ and Native and Indigenous issues, respectively, and overall, help build better community awareness within the workplace.
In their day job, they work as a Sr. Instructional/Graphic Designer at McKesson. In this position, they review the brand consistency for the Sales Training & Enablement e-learning curriculum and materials that serve the entire national field sales team. While at McKesson, they've also spent time in the data analytics, digital, and event marketing worlds; all of which, play a part in helping them excel in their current role.
In their spare time, Laura can be found hanging with their two crazy huskies. They are also an active member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, where they enjoy engaging in their tribal culture and learning about their heritage.
